WHO THE HELL IS LEAH SOLMAZ?
I like to think of myself as a Creative Entrepreneur but for the sake of comprehension ... I am an actress, writer, director and producer based in the West Midlands, UK.
Filmwork
I tripped and stumbled my way into acting and subsequently the world of film, in 2010 after completing a drama course with the Birmingham Theatre School.
After acting in a series of short films, I co-wrote and co-directed my first, feature film, "Checking In", with a talented group of indie, filmmakers; Dave Hastings, Kaushy Patel, Mark Adams, and Troy Dennison. The film went on to win 'Best British Film' at the London Film and Television Awards in 2014.

'Best Feature' at the Midlands Movies Awards 2018. Since then I have been fortunate to have been cast in not only a series of great, short films but a further three, feature films; "Penny for the Guy", which is in post-production, "Clownface" which was released in North America in August 2020 and will be released in the UK at a later date. "Advent: A Christmas Anthology" which is currently in production and is set to be released late 2021.
I am releasing a web series, pilot called "Theosight" over the next, few months which I have written, produced and acted in. It has been one of the most enjoyable projects I have worked on to date.

My debut novel, "Nexus: Book One" was released in March 2020 and is available as paperbook and ebook via Amazon. It is a two-parter, dark-fantasy, adventure book. I am currently working on the sequel to this.
